A dedication for those lost and hope for the future.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact our lives across America, we dedicate RACHMANINOFF & DVOŘÁK to all those who have experienced the loss of a loved one due to the pandemic.

The concert features two contrasting works that are a perfect metaphor for our current experiences – Rachmaninoff’s Trio élégiaque is a hauntingly beautiful lament for his mentor Tchaikovsky and is paired with Dvořák ’s lively “American” string quartet that embodies the resilience of the American spirit.

Sergei Rachmaninoff: Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G Minor

Del Parkinson, Piano
Katie Clark, Violin
Stephen Mathie, Cello

Antonín Dvořák: String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, op. 96 “American Quartet”

Chia-Li Ho, Associate Concertmaster
Geoffrey Hill, Principal Violin II
Lindsay Bohl, Associate Principal Viola
Lisa Cooper, Cello
